Tank Curing, Cleaning, Sanitizing & Removal Services

From Cure to Cleanout — HEPA Delivers Full-Service Tank Support

What’s the Process?

Our tank curing process is designed for fiberglass or resin-lined tanks that require a heat-set cure to meet performance or manufacturing specs. Here’s how it works:

  1. Setup:
We connect a hydronic heater system to the tank. Cold water is pumped in and heated through a fuel-powered boiler system.
  2. Heat & Recirculate:
Heated water is circulated through the tank using bottom-to-top flow. The goal is to raise the internal water temperature to 160–180°F.
  3. Hold Temperature for Cure:
Once the target temperature is reached, we hold it for 8 hours (or longer if required). Temperatures are monitored and logged using long-probe thermometers.
  4. Cool & Drain:
After curing, the tank is allowed to cool naturally before we drain the water.
  5. Clean & Sanitize:
Once cooled, we power wash the interior using a rotating cold-water spray head. We also sanitize lines and fittings as needed for food-grade or chemical use.
  6. Inspect or Remove:
If the tank is going back into service, we finalize with inspection and documentation. If it’s being retired, we safely remove and dispose of the tank and any residual material.
